When Palestinian journalism student Hanaa Al Khatib visits the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf, she discovers just how much the Sahrawi and Palestinian struggles for liberation have in common: the history, a shared enemy, and their deep connection to values such as dignity and resistance.
The short film, shot entirely in Saharawi camps, is structured around three fundamental themes: myth, religion and history. The aim is thus to restore a non-rhetorical and pacified gaze on a people first exploited and then forgotten by the Western world using precisely that guilty cultural tradition as an intellectual weapon in the hands of subordinates.
